Abstract
⺠Photo-induced isomerization is the deactivation mechanism of the hybridization-sensitive probes. ⺠It seems that a deactivation of the probe follow a simple diffusion model in viscous solvents. ⺠Linear relationship between quantum yield and solvent viscosity is broken by the presence of dye dimer.
