Abstract
► A new thiogallate chalcogenide phosphor CaLaGa3S7:Eu2+ was firstly synthesized. ► XRD, PL, PL decay and thermal quenching properties were investigated. ► It emits a strong and wide band yellowish-green light peaking at 554 nm. ► Its chromaticity coordinates are very close to Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ in color.
