Abstract
⺠Auramine O was dissolved in dispersions of different clays. ⺠The fluorescence quantum yields were higher than in aqueous solution. ⺠Decrease of the emission and triexponential decays were observed on SAz-1, LapRDS and SYn-1. ⺠On Swy-1 the decrease was slower and the decay monoexponential. ⺠The dye produces aggregates on the internal lamellar region of the clay.
