Abstract
► The co-fluorescence effect is studied quantitatively for β-diketonate complexes. ► A good quality thin films of β-diketonate complexes are fabricated using the VVD. ► The intermolecular energy transfer processes enhance luminescence in such material. ► Emission colour tuneability of fabricated thin films may be easily achieved
