Abstract
► New results on Cu+ emission in RbCaCl3 are reported. ► Blue emission excited by 254 nm is observed. ► Spectra are explained on the basis of 3dl0 <→3d94s transitions. ► Efficient Yb2+-Mn2+ energy transfer observed. ► White emission with excitation band at 382 nm is observed for RbCaCl3:Yb2+, Mn2+.
