Abstract
⺠ZnO crystals were prepared by hydrothermal method. ⺠The mechanisms for the formation of ZnO crystals were discussed. ⺠Violet photoluminescence bands were observed from ZnO crystals. ⺠Violet emission corresponds to the electron transition from the level of interstitial Zn to the valence band.
