Abstract
► The effects of hydrostatic pressure and spin-orbit coupling are investigated for quantum ring. ► The non-linear absorption coefficient is calculated. ► The hydrostatic pressure leads to the decrease in the absorption coefficient. ► Spin-orbit coupling weakens some transitions and strengthens others.
