Abstract
⺠The OSL properties of rare-earth doped K2YF5 fluorides have been investigated for the first time. ⺠K2YF5:1 at.% Tb3+ has been found to be the most efficient OSL detector. ⺠This fluoride presents an efficiency similar to that of Al2O3:C and linear response over a large dose range. ⺠No OSL fading is observed if irradiated samples are preheated at 80 °C. ⺠The feasibility of using this material in radiation dosimetry is demonstrated.
