Abstract
► (Ba1−xSrxEu0.03)2SiO4 (0≤x≤1) phosphors were prepared by a sol-gel/Pechini method. ► Submicron-sized (200-500 nm) particle had a spherical or needlelike morphology. ► Strong absorption and high quantum efficiencies (85-94%) in the near UV range. ► Emission lifetime at 400 K is 97% of that at 40 K, showing good thermal stability.
