Abstract
⺠Self-trapped exciton luminescence in CdMoO4 is examined in a range of T=5-300 K. ⺠Combined action of Jahn-Teller instability and crystal field plays a crucial role for self-trapping of excitons. ⺠The excited sublevels are group-theoretically assigned.
