Abstract
⺠Efficient IR emissions near second telecommunication window are observed in Ho3+-doped MHG glass. ⺠Maximum emission cross-sections are 2.94Ã10â21 and 2.08Ã10â21 cm2 for 1.2 and 1.39 μm emissions, respectively. ⺠642 and 538 nm wavelengths are proved to be practical pumping conditions for 1.2 and 1.39 μm emissions, respectively. ⺠Gain anticipation indicates this material is attractive in developing 1.2 μm and E-band amplifiers.
