Abstract
⺠Dy3+ ions occupy the inversion center sites in hexagonal YAlO3 nanocrystalline. ⺠Shows more yellow intensity forced electric dipole transition. ⺠Yellow mixed with the blue emission can output the excellent white light. ⺠Has potential applications in UV excitation white LEDs, lighting and displays.
