Abstract
⺠The solid solution BixY1âxVO4: Eu was studied. ⺠A polymeric route was developed to deposit films onto silica. ⺠Absorption spectra could be compared to excitation spectra. ⺠Small amount of Bi shift the excitation spectra down to near UV. ⺠Too large Bi contents kill the Eu luminescence
