Abstract
► The density of states in a quantum well wire under tilted laser field is calculated. ► A closed-form expression was proposed for the laser dressed confinement potential. ► The energies and wave functions are obtained using a finite element method. ► Axial component of the laser field uniformly blueshifts the density of states. ► The transversal laser field non-uniformly modifies the subband levels.
