Abstract
⺠The Cd2V2O7 has been fabricated in amorphous and crystalline phases. ⺠The band gap of crystalline samples varied in the 2.49-2.41 eV range. ⺠The absorption edge for the glasses had lower values with a minimum of 1.77 eV. ⺠The {2H11/2, 4S3/2, 4F9/2, 4I9/2}â4I15/2 and 4S3/2â4I13/2, were observed in PL.
