Abstract
⺠An unsymmetrically substituted zinc phthalocyanine is synthesized. ⺠Unsymmetrical substitution results in larger triplet lifetimes. ⺠Unsymmetrical substitution does not alter triplet or fluorescence quantum yields. ⺠Monoexponential fluorescence lifetimes are obtained.
