Abstract
⺠We report a series of crown ethers carrying a pyrene group with nitrogen-sulfur donor atoms. ⺠The influence of metal cations on the spectroscopic properties of the ligands is investigated. ⺠We have carried out the monoazatetrathia crown ether showed good sensitivity for Cu2+.
