Abstract
⺠Broadband 2.84 μm emission obtained in Dy3+ doped ZBLAY glass. ⺠Radiative properties determined using the Judd-Ofelt theory. ⺠Energy transfer analyzed when pumped by conventional 808 nm LD. ⺠Present glass possesses high emission cross section and transition probability. ⺠Dy3+ doped ZBLAY glass is a good candidate for efficient 2.8 μm laser.
