Abstract
► Resonance dipole-dipole interaction of Mn2+-ions in Cd1−xMnxTe is a cause of an energy transfer and a quenching. ► 4T1- and 4T2-states' overlapping results in selective-, nonselective- or mixed excitation depending on excitation energy. ► Relative oscillator strength of 4T1-state is 0.001. ► Energies of 4T1- and 4T2-states are weakly correlated. ► Temperature rise results in a limitation of the quenching rate and a diminution of luminescence inhomogeneous broadening.
