Abstract
► Eu2+ and Mn2+ co-doped Ca8Zn(SiO4)4Cl2 phosphors were synthesized by high temperature solid state reaction. ► Their luminescence properties and energy transfer mechanism have been investigated. ► Upon blue light excitation, the present phosphor can emit intense green/yellow in comparison with other chlorosilicate phosphors. ► Results demonstrate that Ca8Zn(SiO4)4Cl2:Eu2+, Mn2+ could be a potential application on phosphor converted white LEDs.
