Abstract
⺠In this study, we prepared LCZSFB glasses for different concentrations of Sm3+ ions. ⺠We characterize the prepared glasses with XRD, FTIR, absorption, emission and decay curve analysis. ⺠We used Judd-Ofelt theory to calculate oscillator strengths, J-O intensity parameters and different radiative properties. ⺠In this study, we conclude that Sm3+-doped LCZSFB glasses are useful for the development of lasers and photonic devices in the visible region.
