Abstract
►Laser light causes increased photoluminescence intensity in silicon quantum dots. ► The photoactivation process is effective for wavelengths of 514 nm and shorter. ► Hydrogen bound to the Si-QDs is replaced by oxygen in a two-step process. ► Patterning is possible but limited by physical dispersion of Si-QDs.
