Abstract
⺠The structural modification to receptor architecture alters metal ion selective fluorescence enhancement. ⺠The selectivity modulates as a function of varied stereo-electronic conditions. ⺠The amino-ethyl-amino receptor based probe 3 exhibits fluorescence enhancement selectively with Zn(II). ⺠Probe 4 with an amino-ethyl-oxy-(phenyl methyl)-amino receptor does not exhibit selectivity.
