Abstract
⺠Fluorescent silica particles of 200 nm radius are prepared. ⺠Fluorescent dyes are entrapped into the particles. ⺠Fluorescent quenching by energy transfer of donor dye to acceptor dye indicates an overlay of the concentration gradients of the dyes. ⺠Fluorescence imaging shows that particle brightness is not homogeneous.
