Abstract
► We present simulations of time-resolved photoluminescence experiments in α-Al2O3:C. ► Two different versions of the model are used to simulate thermal quenching effects. ► Both models describe luminescence lifetime and luminescence intensity. ► Differences between the two models are found for TL, OSL and TSC behaviors. ► Results support Mott-Seitz mechanism of thermal quenching.
