Abstract
The interaction between nitrophenols and 7-hydroxy-4-azidomethylcoumarin has been investigated by fluorescence and UV-vis absorbance spectroscopy. Quenching mechanisms have been evaluated by fluorescence measurements at different temperatures. Stern-Volmer quenching constant Ksv and corresponding thermodynamic parameters ΔH0, ΔG0 and ΔS0 were calculated. Binding studies concerning the number of binding sites 'n' and apparent binding constant 'K' were performed by fluorescence quenching method.
