Abstract
The interaction between nitrophenols and 7-hydroxy-4-azidomethylcoumarin has been investigated by fluorescence and UV-vis absorbance spectroscopy. Quenching mechanisms have been evaluated by fluorescence measurements at different temperatures. Stern-Volmer quenching constant Ksv and corresponding thermodynamic parameters ÎH0, ÎG0 and ÎS0 were calculated. Binding studies concerning the number of binding sites 'n' and apparent binding constant 'K' were performed by fluorescence quenching method.
