Abstract
► Suppression of “background” signals in 1H MAS NMR discussed. ► Significant loss of desired signal with “depth pulse” experiments analysed. ► New passband depth pulse sequences proposed. ► Based on novel antisymmetric composite 180° pulses. ► Shown to yield increased signal in 1H MAS while retaining background suppression.
