Abstract
⺠A new pulse sequence (q-MAS PGSE) is proposed for isotropic diffusion weighting. ⺠Harmonically modulated gradients make the q-vector rotate at the magic-angle from a lab axis. ⺠q-MAS PGSE removes broadening of P(D) originating from microscopic diffusion anisotropy. ⺠Experiments are carried out on a liquid crystal and a yeast cell suspension. ⺠Comparison of q-MAS PGSE and standard PGSE shows the presence of microscopic diffusion anisotropy.
