Abstract
► A spin tagging pulse sequence for hyperpolarized 13C metabolic studies was designed. ► A spectral-spatial RF pulse was incorporated during the tagging preparation. ► The pulse sequence was tested in vitro and in vivo. ► Observation of metabolites derived only from the tagged substrate was demonstrated.
