Abstract
► Long-lived echo in solids can be excited by a two-pulse sequence. ► Difference of chemical shifts of dipolar-coupled nuclei is needed for excitation. ► The echo amplitude is proportional to the difference of chemical shifts. ► The three-level model describes some features of the phenomenon.
