Abstract
⺠Dissolution DNP using mixtures of immiscible solvents can reduce the dilution of an analyte, if the latter dissolves preferentially in one of these phases. ⺠This in turn can increase sample concentration at the NMR/MRI coil volume, leading to a sensitivity enhancement. ⺠Suitable mixtures of solvents can also effect a net extraction of the polarizing radical, and lengthen the hyperpolarization's lifetime.
