► A superoperator's null space contains states immune to the action of the operator. ► Relaxation superoperators are diagonalised to find their relaxation null spaces. ► Different multi-spin-system topologies are examined systematically. ► Many decoherence-resistant states are identified. ► Analysis of three real molecules predicts seven long-lived states in each.
