Abstract
►Cardiac-induced physiological noise in 3D brain imaging is measured and modeled. ► Manifestations of noise in reconstructed image depend on k-space sampling trajectory. ► Random sampling (cf. compressed sensing) produces significant noise manifestations. ► Separating the acquisition at k and −k by a tuned time interval may reduce noise.
