Abstract
► A novel method of shim induced eddy current field compensation in dynamic shimming is presented. ► The method does not require shim shielding, hardware compensation or individual prescanning. ► Steady state behavior of the eddy fields is characterized with interaction vectors. ► Interaction vectors are sample and shim pattern independent allowing for generalized use. ► Large reductions in field gradients, significant image quality improvements are demonstrated.
