Abstract
Thermodynamic properties of l-threonine and l-valine in aqueous solution of 1-methyl-3-pentylimidazolium chloride, [C5mim][Cl] have been investigated by volumetric and ultrasonic properties at three different temperatures (T = (288.15, 298.15 and 308.15) K). Other properties at infinite dilution like apparent molar volume, VÏ0 and the apparent molar isentropic compression KÏ , S0, have also been calculated from the measured data. Conclusion drawn from volumetric and ultrasonic properties have been further supported by calculating apparent molar expansion, EÏ0, Hepler's constant values, âEÏ0âTP, hydration numbers, nH and specific volume, vÏ. The calculated parameters are worthwhile in studying structure nurturing, solvation as well as taste behavior on the basis of various kinds of interactions present in such solutions.
