Experimental investigation of a novel foam formulation to improve foam quality

It is often believed, that use of surfactant concentration at critical micelle concentration gives the lowest IFT and highest foam performance, however, adding only surfactant would be a costly process. In this study, we changed foam quality by adding a significant increase in half-life of the produced foam and recovery factor (about 98%) by increasing a small amount of CMC gum in the aqueous phase of the injected foam.
