Abstract
This article concentrates on the phenomenon of melting in the stagnation point flow of viscous fluid towards a variable thicked Riga plate. Riga plate is known as electromagnetic actuator which comprises of permanent magnets and alternating electrodes placed on a plane surface. Mathematical formulations are developed in the presence of viscous dissipation and homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions. On utilization of appropriate transformations a system of highly nonlinear ordinary differential equations is achieved. Descriptions of velocity, temperature and concentration distributions corresponding to numerous physical parameters are graphically analyzed. Behaviors of skin friction coefficient/drag force and Nusselt number (rate of heat transfer) are also demonstrated graphically. It is noted that velocity distribution enhances for higher values of modified Hartman number while it reduces with increasing variable thickness parameter.
