Abstract
Schematic preparation of Pt nanoparticles modified glassy carbon electrode. The Pt nanoparticles (Pt-NPs) were fabricated through a simple and quick method via galvanic replacement reaction with Ni nanoparticles (Ni-NPs) based on spontaneous and irreversible reaction between PtCl62Â â and Ni-NPs. The Ni-NPs were completely replaced by Pt-NPs in H2SO4 solution. The results showed that the Pt-NPs demonstrate excellent electrocatalytic activity towards methanol and formaldehyde oxidation.176
