Abstract
A new Pt-based nanocomposite has been electrochemically prepared by deposition of Pt nanoparticles on a porous poly(2-Methoxyaniline)/multi-walled carbon nanotube (P2MA/MWCNT) film which was prepared via electropolymerization method. Surface morphology of the polymer film was significantly influenced by incorporation of the MWCNT. The obtained nanocomposite shows excellent electrocatalytic activity towards methanol and formaldehyde oxidation. Also, utilization of the MWCNT significantly improves the electrocatalytic activity of the modified electrode towards oxidation.
