Abstract
The complex dielectric permittivity spectra of some ethylene glycol ethers i.e. 2(2-alkoxyethoxy)ethanols in 1,4 dioxane have been carried out in the frequency range of 10 MHz to 30 GHz using a time domain reflectometry (TDR) technique. Measurement was done at 25 °C and at entire mol. fractions of dioxane in AEE (0 < XDX â¤Â 1.0). Using Cole-Davidson model the dielectric parameters such as static dielectric constant (ε0), relaxation time (Ï) and asymmetric distribution of relaxation width (β) for the mixtures have been evaluated. The densities of these mixtures were also measured at room temperature. The molecular interaction of unlike molecules was discussed using the excess dielectric properties, excess volumetric properties and Kirkwood correlation factor.
