Abstract
In this paper the parachor method is applied to estimate surface tension of pure imidazolium based ionic liquids at the different temperatures. For this prediction a corresponding-states group-contribution method is proposed to estimate the surface tension of ionic liquids covering wide ranges of temperature and chain length. Comparison of experimental and calculated surface tension values shows the model has good accuracy in comparison with other predictive equations.
