Abstract
In this work, thermal properties including heat capacity, thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of pure and aqueous solution of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) at the entire range of composition were measured. All thermal properties were measured at temperatures from (303.15 to 353.15) K and at atmospheric pressure. Excess quantities of those mentioned properties were obtained and modeled by using Redlich-Kister equation. The results show that, excess molar heat capacity departs positively from rectilinear ideal solution, whereas excess thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity deviate negatively from ideal solution at the temperature range studied in this work. The measured experimental data for all thermo-physical properties were also correlated by using the modified Setchenow equation.
