Abstract
⺠We prepared and characterized sepiolite fibers by several techniques. ⺠Effects of pH, ionic strength and coexistent electrolyte ions were investigated. ⺠Ion exchange and surface complexation were the main sorption mechanisms. ⺠Humic substances affected the sorption of Sr(II) on sepiolite fibers evidently.
