Abstract
► Hydrogen bonds are stronger in cyclic structures than the ladder. ► Cyclic and ladder structures show positive and negative hydrogen bond cooperativity respectively. ► The hyperpolarizabilities increase with an increase in number of monomeric units in both type of oligomers.
