Abstract
⺠LC compound 4-n-decyloxy benzoic acid has been irradiated by Li ion beam. ⺠Irradiation shows stabilization of the phases. ⺠Change in permittivity due to irradiation shows reversal in N and SmC phases. ⺠Ionic conductivity increases due to irradiation. ⺠UV-Vis spectra of the irradiated material show an additional peak.
