Abstract
⺠Solvatochromic shift method has been used to estimate the excited state dipole moments of protonated and neutral 6-methoxyquinoline. ⺠Higher values of dipole moments have been observed for excited state compared to ground state. ⺠Attributed to more polar excited states of molecules.
