Abstract
► Fullerene-bisporphyrin complexation is examined in presence of gold nanoparticles. ► Gold nanoparticles (AuNp) inhibits binding between fullerene and bisporphyrin (1). ► DLS study reveals larger size particles of AuNp in presence of fullerene-1 complex. ► SEM measurements establish formation of nanorod in case of C60-bisporphyrin-AuNp. ► Electrostatic attraction between porphyrin-based supramolecule and AuNp is observed.
