Abstract
⺠The APCs can be used as sequestering agents for (CH3)Hg+ in aqueous solution. ⺠Formation of (CH3)Hg+-APC complexes in natural waters is influenced by chloride. ⺠The pL0.5 gives information on sequestering ability of APCs towards (CH3)Hg+ ion. ⺠The biodegradable S,S-EDDS is the best APC for remediation of contaminated waters.
