Abstract
⺠Effect of short chain length alcohol on micellization of cationic surfactants studied by conductivity measurement. ⺠The cmc values of cationic gemini are lower than the monomeric surfactants. ⺠The cmc and α values of cationic surfactant increased with increasing solvent content and temperature. ⺠The values of (ÎG°m) are negative in all cases indicate the micelle formation process is spontaneous. ⺠The values of negative enthalpy indicate the importance of the London dispersion forces for micellization.
