Abstract
► Ground state dipole moment has been calculated using quantum chemical calculations. ► Solvatochromic shift method is used to estimate the excited state dipole moment of quinine sulfate dication. ► We observed higher value of dipole moment for excited state compared to ground state. ► Higher value of dipole moment is attributed to more polar excited state of quinine sulfate dication.
