Abstract
⺠Ground state dipole moment has been calculated using quantum chemical calculations. ⺠Solvatochromic shift method is used to estimate the excited state dipole moment of quinine sulfate dication. ⺠We observed higher value of dipole moment for excited state compared to ground state. ⺠Higher value of dipole moment is attributed to more polar excited state of quinine sulfate dication.
